Kimry Gorky Factory Joins Nationwide "No Turnstiles Week" Initiative
On April 11, as part of the all-Russian campaign “No Turnstiles Week,” JSC Kimry Gorky Factory organized a guided tour for students from Kimry College. This initiative aims to provide career guidance and raise awareness among young people about the operations of leading Russian enterprises, while also promoting professions in high demand across modern industries.
“Choosing the right profession means finding your place in life. It’s our duty to help young people make this critical decision,” emphasized Kirill Lipa, CEO of Transmashholding, member of the Bureau of the Central Council of SoyuzMash Russia, and curator of the Tver Regional Branch of SoyuzMash. “‘No Turnstiles Week’ addresses this challenge effectively, giving students first-hand insight into the operations of machine-building enterprises in the Tver region and helping them understand which professions are in demand today. This contributes to a key objective — encouraging conscious career choices and motivating the younger generation to work in the industrial sector.”
During the tour, students had the opportunity to
explore the production process of respiratory protective equipment, interact
with factory staff, and learn about potential employment opportunities in the
industry. Employees of the factory enthusiastically shared their knowledge and
experience, showcasing the latest technologies and safety practices used in
modern production.
Dmitry Bemov, General Director of JSC Kimry Gorky
Factory, highlighted the importance of engaging with the younger
generation:
“Opening our doors to students is not just about
giving a tour — it’s an opportunity for them to witness how a modern
manufacturing facility operates and to explore the career prospects it offers.
Events like these play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of skilled
professionals who will drive the future of industrial technologies.”
Valentina Sokol, Director of Kimry College, also
commented on the impact of such visits:
“Direct interaction with industry professionals and
the chance to see a working production environment up close is an invaluable
experience for our students. Our goal is to guide young people not only in
their studies but also in understanding their future careers. We truly value
our partnership with Kimry Factory — it provides students with a powerful
springboard that could change their lives for the better.”
The “No Turnstiles Week” initiative continues
to engage young people across the country, supporting their professional
development and introducing them to local industrial heritage.
